PHNOM PENH -- The 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Cambodia concluded Sunday, achieving fruitful results for greater regional cooperation towards post-COVID-19 pandemic socio-economic recovery.
"Within these four days, we have had a comprehensive and productive discussion on the way forward to strengthen ASEAN centrality and our value in relation with our external partners, particularly at a time when the world is facing the fast evolving complex regional and international issue," Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen said at the closing ceremony of the four-day summits. TEHRAN -- At least 15 people were injured in a fire that erupted in an industrial region in central Iran on Sunday, official IRNA news agency reported.
The fire erupted in the Arad Sanat industrial unit in Mobarake industrial town in central Isfahan province and resulted in the injury of 15 people due to inhalation of chemicals, said the report. (Iran-Fire-Casualties)

CARACAS -- The Venezuelan government on Saturday lambasted the decision of the European Union (EU) to renew sanctions against the South American country for another year.
"With this anachronistic decision, the intention is to insist on a completely erroneous strategy, with which the EU has not managed to fulfill its objective of overthrowing the Bolivarian government or separating our people from the political course enshrined in our constitution," said a statement released by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry. ANKARA -- Spain has decided to extend the deployment of its Patriot air defense missiles in Türkiye's southern Adana province until June 2023, Turkish semi-official Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.
The mandate of the Spanish Patriot missile defense system stationed in Adana, a province nearly 120 km from the Syrian border, was to expire at the end of this year, it reported. (Türkiye-Spain-Patriot Air Defense Missiles)
