PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's National Assembly President Samdech Heng Samrin left here on Monday for the visit to neighboring Vietnam and Laos, according to a National Assembly's press statement.
During his visit to Vietnam from Monday to Wednesday, Samrin will meet with Vuong Dinh Hue, chairman of Vietnam's National Assembly, and pay courtesy calls on General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the statement said. SYDNEY -- Seven people have been confirmed dead after a 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea (PNG)'s Markham Valley on Sunday morning, according to the Royal PNG Constabulary.
In a statement released on Monday afternoon, Commissioner of Police David Manning said that a second 5.0-magnitude earthquake was also recorded on Sunday at 10:42 a.m. local time (0042 GMT), occurring 70 km north of the original tremor at a depth of 101 km underground. PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's total international trade volume was valued at 37.4 billion U.S. dollars during the January-August period of 2022, an increase of 21.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise's report released on Monday.
China remained the biggest trading partner of Cambodia, followed by the United States, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore, the report said. (Cambodia-China-Trade)
