Two St. Thomas Men Charged with Robbery and Unlawful Wounding

Nineteen-year-old Michael Scott otherwise called ‘Cove’, and 21-year-old Shamar
Burke both of Salt Lane, Morant Bay, St. Thomas has been charged with Robbery with Aggravation and Unlawful Wounding following an incident in Nut River district in the parish on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Reports from the St. Thomas Police are that about 8:00 a.m., the men had an argument with another man. Subsequently, Scott held onto the man, while both men used a knife to inflict several wounds to the complainant’s neck. Burke then took twenty thousand Jamaican dollars (JMD$ 20,000.00) from the man’s front pocket before escaping in the area.

The man made a report to the police. Scott and Burke were consequently arrested and charged.

Their court date is being finalised.
