The Supreme Court will on Monday deliver its judgment on a matter challenging the first extension of the tenure of Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewlyn.
The lawsuit was brought by convicted murderer Mervin Cameron, with the Attorney General named as the respondent.
Cameron, who is represented by attorney Hugh Wildman, applied for an injunction and constitutional and other declaratory orders against the Governor General's decision to grant the extension of tenure.
The convict has also filed a separate suit in the Supreme Court seeking to block a second extension.
Based on the first extension, Paula Llewellyn's tenure is set to come to an end in September when she reaches age 63.
But last week the Government passed legislation in Parliament to amend the Constitution for the age of retirement of the DPP to be a minimum 65 years and a maximum 70 years.
