A healthy four-year-old girl died suddenly in the Northern Territory, Australia leaving her loved ones and medical professionals searching for answers.
Millicent Edwards collapsed at home on April 14 and was rushed to hospital where she was put into an induced coma to stabilize her condition.
She was subsequently transferred to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, Australia where 30 of her closest family members and friends gathered by her side.
But despite tireless efforts from doctors, Millicent tragically died on June 16.
The cause of her sudden death remains unknown.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist Millicent‘s parents, Cody Edwards and Amanda Watt, in taking time off from work to mourn their beloved daughter.
The page has raised more than $34,000 as of July 7th.
Family friend Emma Bell shared memories of Millicent, describing her as a vibrant, compassionate, and extraordinary young girl who had touched the lives of everyone around her.
“Millicent was a bubbly, kind, and special little girl that touched the lives of so many,” Ms Bell said via the Daily Mail.
