A former member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force was shot and killed in Caymanas Gardens, St Catherine, on Monday night.
He has been identified as Donovan McLean, 33, of Hotline Avenue, Caymanas Gardens.
According to reports, at about 10:25 p.m., McLean was among a group of persons at a car wash when a white Toyota Axio motor car drove up.
Three males reportedly exited the vehicle armed with handguns and opened fire at the group before fleeing.
The police were alerted and upon their arrival, McLean was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Two other men were injured in the attack. They are being treated at hospital.
