A plot of land is for sale in the UK's prettiest town that has planning consent for a two-storey home.
Earlier this week, we reported that Keswick in the Lake District has been judged to be the prettiest town in the entire country.
The town is built around the heart of a historic market square that is pedestrianised and is surrounded by pubs, hotels and businesses.
Hope Park and Fitz Park remain very popular, along with the views of Skiddaw and Latrigg.
The land in question is close to 1 Briar Rigg and is less than a mile to the north of Keswick town centre.
According to Rightmove, the average price of property in the town is £322,577, including flats, terraced properties and semi-detached properties.
The land is listed at £195,000 and local occupancy restrictions apply. Local occupancy restrictions vary from property to property and estate agents will be able to provide any details on this.
The description of the plot provided by Rightmove said: "A rare opportunity to purchase a residential building plot with detailed and perpetuated planning consent to construct a detached two storey house, subject to local occupancy restrictions.
"The planning consent was granted on 7th October 2014 under reference: 7/2014/2205, together with Building Regulation approval under reference: FP/2017/0526.
T"he completed house will benefit from front views towards Latrigg and Skiddaw."
