Sean McVay’s wife Veronika Khomyn gives birth to baby boy

The Rams added another rookie to their roster on Tuesday.

Veronika Khomyn, head coach Sean McVay’s wife, gave birth to a baby boy, Jordan John McVay.

McVay announced the arrival of their newest family member at his Wednesday press conference.

McVay said Jordan’s original due date was supposed to be Oct. 31, the same day the head coach’s grandfather died last year.

“If you don’t believe in a higher power, there’s certain things that occur where you just realize there is something special going on,” McVay said Wednesday. “I come from a family of faith, I’m a man of faith. The influence that you know my grandfather had on me — but also our family, he had a special relationship with Veronika as well — and so I thought that was only appropriate to be able to have his middle name after my grandfather.

“His legacy lives on. I know he’s looking down smiling.”

McVay told reporters that Veronika and Jordan were both doing well and healthy after the big day.

“Just amazing how well my wife handled it and what a stud she was through that whole process, and even yesterday,” McVay said, according to The Athletic. “The people were amazing in terms of the nurses and doctors, and their help. He’s here, he’s healthy, he’s feeling good. And what a blessing it is.”

Last week, with the birth of Jordan seemingly imminent, McVay joked that he would not miss a game —because his son would know better on when to arrive.

“My wife’s doing great. I think there was a lot made about me missing a game. I’m not gonna miss a game. My son knows better than to come during a game,” McVay said.

The Rams had their own fun with the birth of Jordan, posting on X: “LA Rams Transactions: • Delivered Jordan John McVay.”
