The latest opinion poll has shown that the support rate of the Japanese government headed by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stood at 29 percent, down 7 percentage points from the 36 percent in the previous survey in August, a record low since Kishida took office in October 2021.

SIEM REAP, Cambodia -- The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) free trade agreement could be a contributor to the region's post-COVID-19 pandemic recovery efforts, according to an ASEAN joint statement released on Sunday.

ISLAMABAD -- The total death toll in Pakistan from this season's monsoon rains and floods since mid-June has risen to around 1,545, along with 12,860 injured, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said.
According to a report released by the NDMA on Saturday evening, 552 children and 315 women were among those who lost their lives in separate rain or flood-related accidents in the country. (Pakistan-Floods-Deaths)
