Cambodia, Vietnam sign 11 documents to further boost bilateral cooperation

PHNOM PENH, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Vietnam on Tuesday signed 11 documents aiming at further promoting their bilateral ties and cooperation, a senior Cambodian official said.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and visiting Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh witnessed the signing ceremony of the documents after their meeting at the Peace Palace, said Eang Sophalleth, a personal assistant to Hun Sen.

The documents covered bilateral cooperation in cross-border transport, agriculture, trade promotion along the border, media, telecommunication, information and communications technology, religions, labor and banking, among others, he said.

Sophalleth said during the talks, the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and exchanged their views on some regional and international issues of common concern and interest.

The Vietnamese prime minister arrived in Phnom Penh on Tuesday morning for a two-day official visit.
