Police have arrested a man after officers were called to reports of a person armed with a knife throwing litter in east Hull.

Humberside Police officers attended Brazil Street, off Holderness Road, east Hull, just before 11.30pm on Friday.

The force's dog section were also called to the incident.

A man was arrested at the scene and the knife was recovered.

No one was injured.

The Humberside Police Dog Section tweeted: "11.21pm - called to reports of a man with a knife throwing litter around in Brazil Street, Hull. No one injured, knife recovered and PD Tom helped to detain - one in custody #OutOnPawtrol."

The dog handler's are tweeting all the incidents they attend throughout Friday night and into Saturday morning.

A force spokesman said: This Friday, September 24, and Saturday, September 25, our dog section will be live tweeting their night shift, starting at 7pm, giving you a true insight into what they get up to."
