Lucan cast: Who is in the ITV show?

ITV'S new drama about the infamous aristocrat Lord Lucan is set to air on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 9 pm.

The two-part drama follows the story of Richard John Bingham who mysteriously vanished after he was accused of murdering his children's nanny.

Who is in the cast of Lucan?

Rory Kinnear

Rory Kinnear who was born in February, 17, 1978, will play the lead role of  Lord Lucan.

He has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre.

In 2014, he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of William Shakespeare's villain Iago in the National Theatre production of Othello.

He is best known for playing Bill Tanner in the James Bond films Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time to Die.

On TV, he has portrayed Michael on the BBC comedy Count Arthur Strong, Frankenstein's monster in Penny Dreadful and the lead role of Prime Minister Michael Callow in "The National Anthem", the first episode of Black Mirror.

Christopher Eccleston

Christopher Eccleston will portray the character of John Aspinall in Lucan.

 The actor who has been nominated for BAFTA twice, is best known for his role in BBC's Doctor Who.

The 56-year-old has also played Pastor Matt Jamison in The Leftovers.

 He has appeared in films such as G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Amelia, Song for Marion, Thor: The Dark World, and Legend.

He won an International Emmy Award for his performance in an episode of the series Accused and on stage, he has played the title roles in productions of Hamlet and Macbeth.

Since 2017, he has narrated the documentary series Ambulance.

Catherine McCormack

Catherine McCormack will portray Lucan's wife Lady Veronica Lucan.

The actress has appeared in Braveheart, The Land Girls , Dangerous Beauty, Dancing at Lughnasa, Spy Game, and 28 Weeks Later.

In theatre, she has taken part in National Theatre productions of All My Sons and Honour.

Leanne Best

Leanne Best will play the Lucan family's nanny Sandra Rivett who is found brutally murdered.

The actress is best known for her roles as Jane Cobden in the BBC series Ripper Street, Celia Donnelly in Fortitude, and her role in The Woman In Black 2: Angel of Death.

She also appeared as Min Sakul in the sequel Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Additionally, she appeared in ITV comedy series Cold Feet and was also in Line of Duty series 3.
