REAL NEWS: Two incidents of praedial larceny – in which livestock and produce were stolen – are being investigated.
A 62-year-old All Saints man reported to the All Saints Police Station that two bunches of coconuts had been stolen from his home.
Reportedly, the fruits went missing on April 6, the same day the man was having a security-camera system installed around his property.
Apparently, it was after the CCTV system had been installed that the homeowner discovered the coconuts had been taken.
However, while reviewing the video footage on May 3, the householder observed an unknown male stealing the coconuts at about 9:20 p.m.
In the other instance, a Fort Road woman reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that seven of her goats, valued at a total of $4,800, had been stolen from their pen.
The perpetrator(s) apparently went to the Fort Road property, opened the pen on the eastern side of the house where the goats were being kept, and removed them.
The offence reportedly occurred between 6 p.m. on May 2 and 7 a.m. on May 3.
